The Farm Stand is full on! A recent collaboration with Rancho Durazno and Topp Fruits has open the floodgates of organic fruit including peaches and apricots. Cherry and heirloom tomatoes are ripe and full of the sweet flavor of summer. The Hearts and Souls Salad Mix has never been better. Hope to see you soon.

Plant Starts: Annual flowers now $4 each. We also have a full rack of herbs ready for the garden or kitchen counter.

Early July offers a window of reprieve. A moment when spring crops have finished up, long season crops are planted, and summer produce has yet to ripen. We have made it a point to escape as a family away from the farm and ended up heading east this year to a foreign land of humidity, water, and trees.
A gut feeling, a few emails, and a phone call later I was driving to Dickerson, Maryland to visit with the farmers at One Acre Farm. A privilege I will not soon forget.
One Acre Farm has been providing CSA shares for nearly two decades and I was curious to unpeel how it has found longevity in a demanding profession. Farmer Mike is a fast talking, straight to the point, no-filter dude. We spent a few minutes discussing business models in the farm office and I was immediately impressed when he turned to the general manager to ask what she thought in comparing our two farms. I have not often been in the presence of a business owner when they turn towards an employee asking for their opinion. As I came to learn more about the farm this unique moment grew.
